¡#UnaVaca ha vuelto! Esta vez para contribuir a mejorar a calidad de vida de madres, niños y niñas venezolanos y colombianos retornados que necesitan de atención prioritaria. La nueva realidad de las migraciones y los refugiados venezolanos que llegan al país ha desbordado la capacidad local, estatal y de organizaciones internacionales, lo que ha impactado a las comunidades de toda Colombia. Así que, ¡es hora de ayudar!

#UnaVacaPorLosChamos es un llamado a la empatía de todos los colombianos, pero sobre todo es una invitación a la ACCIÓN. Del 1 al 15 de octubre, colombianos, venezolanos y ciudadanos del mundo pondrán a prueba su solidaridad con una campaña de recolección de fondos. Esta iniciativa de la sociedad civil busca recolectar 300 millones de pesos, ¡estamos seguros que entre todos podemos!

Cientos de mujeres embarazadas, madres y niños de 0 a 5 años llegan al país en altos grados de malnutrición y desnutrición, con afectaciones afectivas y en riesgo de caer en redes de trata de personas y prostitución. Todo el dinero de esta vaca -nuestra vaca, la de todos los colombianos- se invertirá para identificar y atender la difícil situación de nuestros hermanos venezolanos por medio de las organizaciones Comparte por una vida y Funadación Juanfe, dedicadas a atender mujeres niños y niñas con programas de nutrición, apoyo psicosocial y capacitación ocupacional. 

¿Cómo donar?

Cualquier persona puede hacer una donación a partir de COP$9.000 o US$ 3 . Vaki permite hacer pagos con tarjeta de crédito, débito de cuentas bancarias o en efectivo solicitando el número de referencia para hacer el pago en cualquier punto Baloto o Efecty en todo el país. 

Para esta campaña Vaki no cobrará comisión por las donaciones y la plataforma de pagos digitales PayU redujo considerablemente su comisión, lo que garantiza que la cantidad recaudada llegará casi en un 100% a los beneficiados.

¿Quiénes están detrás de #UnaVacaPorLosChamos?

Este iniciativa es 100% ciudadana y busca llamar a la solidaridad con nuestros hermanos venezolanos que han llegado a Colombia. No hay intereses políticos ni de ningún otro tipo en esta campaña. Los promotores no recibirán ningún beneficio económico directo o indirecto por la campaña.

¿Cómo sé que el dinero fue invertido en los proyectos que anunciaron?

La cantidad recolectada es absolutamente transparente: Vaki va mostrando el número de donantes y la cantidad recaudada en tiempo real. Una vez terminada la campaña se hará público en nuestras redes sociales y demás medios de comunicación el total recolectado y la forma en que serán invertidos. La cobertura que tengamos de número de personas beneficiadas dependerá de la cantidad recaudada. 

 ¿Cuáles son y cómo se seleccionaron a las fundaciones que recibirán el dinero recolectado?

#UnaVacaPor ha buscado a los mejores aliados para este proyecto. Entendiendo la complejidad de este problema decidimos asociarnos con fundaciones que tuvieran el mejor conocimiento y experiencia trabajando con poblaciones vulnerables y migrantes. Después de un amplio proceso, escogimos a Comparte por Una Vida y a la Fundación Juan Felipe Gómez Escobar . Con ellas nos sentamos a trabajar y a formular un proyecto en el cual estuvieran integrados todos los elementos de esta problemática. Queremos atender a mujeres embarazadas, madres cabeza de familia y a niños menores de 5 años, pero lo vamos a hacer de una manera transformadora y desde el rol que debe ocupar la sociedad civil. Vamos a potencializar las acciones de que deben cumplir los diferentes actores que intervienen en estos casos.  Nuestro proyecto apoya toda esta gestión exigiendo resultados de todos los actores y convirtiendo la intervención en un modelo de desarrollo transformador y replicable. Así las cosas, el éxito de este proyecto podrá ser llevado en diferentes regiones del país e incluso en otros países donde se están presentando situaciones similares.

La Fundación Juanfe es una entidad colombiana sin ánimo de lucro que actúa para mejorar la calidad de vida de la población infantil y adolescente en situación de pobreza o pobreza extrema, principalmente en la ciudad de Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Siendo Cartagena una de las ciudades donde la población venezolana ha llegado, la Juanfe empezó a indagar posibilidades de financiación para ampliar su acción a la población venezolana, especialmente madres y sus hijos que presentan altos niveles de vulnerabilidad, entre ellos, desnutrición en los niños y niñas y explotación sexual en niñas, adolescentes y mujeres.

La Fundación Comparte por una vida Colombia es una organización venezolana con sede en Colombia que tiene misión proporcionar apoyo nutricional infantil necesario para atender hospitales, colegios y casas de paso en Colombia que se encuentran afectadas por el éxodo venezolano. Dada la crisis humanitaria por la que atraviesa la población venezolana que ha tenido que migrar a otros países, Comparte por una vida Colombia se ha concentrado en atender Comedores de paso, Instituciones Educativas en Bogotá y Cúcuta. Comparte por una vida Colombia es la organización venezolana con mayor impacto en Colombia ya que trabaja de la mano de otras organizaciones e instituciones públicas y privadas.

#UnaVaca has come back!  This time is to contribute towards improving the lives of Venezuelan and Colombian mothers and children that have been forced to migrate from Venezuela, and who need urgent care.  The new migratory and refugee realities that have arrived in Colombia have overflowed all Local, State, and other international organizations capacities therefore impacting all other Colombian communities.  So Now is the time to Help!

#UnaVacaPorLosChamos is an empathy call to everyone, but more than that, this is a call to ACTION!  

From October 1 through October 15, Colombians, Venezuelans, and citizens of the world will put their solidarity to the test with this collection of funds.  This is a civil initiative that looks to collect $300 million Colombian pesos, and we are certain that if we all chip in, we can make it happen!

Hundreds of pregnant women, mothers, and children between the ages of 0 and 5 years arrive into Colombia highly malnourished, with a lot of emotional problems, and they are at a higher risk of falling into human trafficking and prostitution.  All of the funds from this “Vaca” (colloquial Colombian term that means “everyone pitching in”), our vaca, the one that belongs to all of us Colombians, will be invested to identify and care for our Venezuelan brothers during these difficult times through Comparte por Una Vida and Fundacion Juanfe which are organizations that dedicate themselves to care for women and children who are in dire need of nourishment, psychological assistance, and professional development.

Anyone can make a donation! Starting with as little as US$3.00 via Vaki.  Vaki accepts credit and debit cards, as well as ACH from your bank account. 

For this particular campaign, Vaki will NOT be charging a commission for donations made directly through them, and PayU drastically reduced their commission, which guarantees that all of the collected funds will go, almost 100%, to the people who need it most.

Who is behind #UnaVacaPorLosChamos?

This is an initiative led by 100% civil citizens and this initiative is a call for solidarity with our Venezuelan brothers who have arrived in Colombia.  There are NO political, or any other, interests involved in this campaign. The promoters of this initiative are not, and will not be, receiving any financial compensation directly or indirectly from this campaign.

How do I know where the money was invested in the intended projects?

The funds collected will be treated with the utmost transparency. Vaki will show the number of donations and the amount of the donations in real time. Once the campaign comes to an end, the total amount of funds collected, and the way they have been distributed, will be posted in all our social media.  The number of people who will benefit from this campaign will depend only on the total amount of funds collected.

Who are the foundations that will receive the collected funds and how were they selected?

#UnaVacaPorLosChamos has searched for the best allies for this project. With the understanding of how complex this problem truly is, we decided to choose foundations that had the best knowledge and experience working with vulnerable and migratory communities.  After a thorough process, we chose Comparte por Una Vida and Fundación Juan Felipe Gómez Escobar. We sat down with both foundations to create a project in which all of the elements from this issue are integrated.  We want to care for pregnant women, mothers head-of-household, and children under the age of 5, but we want to care for them in a transformative way, starting with the role each one of them should occupy within our society.  We will potentialize the actions to be followed by all of the parties that need to intervene in cases like these.  Our project will support all of the process by requiring specific results from all people involved, thus creating a development model that is transformative and successfully reproduceable in different regions of Colombia and even in other countries where similar situations are happening.

Fundación Juanfe is a Colombian non-profit entity that works towards improving the quality of life of children and adolescents who live in poverty or extreme poverty, primarily in Cartagena, Colombia.  Since Cartagena is one of the cities where Venezuelans have arrived, Fundación Juanfe started to look for additional financing opportunities to be able to spread their work and to help the Venezuelan population. They are focusing their efforts in helping mothers and children as they present the highest vulnerability levels because of malnourishment among children and sexual exploitation of little girls, teenagers and women.

The Comparte por Una Vida Foundation is a Venezuelan organization with offices in Colombia that has the mission to provide nutritional help to children in hospitals, schools, and foster homes in Colombia that are being affected by the Venezuelan exodus.  Due to the humanitarian crisis that Venezuela is going through, Venezuelans have been forced to migrate to other countries and Comparte Por Una Vida has concentrated its efforts in providing help to “Foster” Dining Halls and educational institutions in Bogotá and Cucuta.   Comparte Por Una Vida Colombia is the Venezuelan organization with the highest impact in Colombia due to the fact that they work alongside with other public, and private institutions.
