Sobre este Vaki (crowd funding)
En la noche del 18 de octubre de 2018, el espacio ceremonial de la COMUNIDAD KANKUAMA de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia (conocida como LA KANKURUA), fue reducida a cenizas por actores desconocidos.
La KANKURUA es un centro ceremonial, centro de pensamiento, espacio para la reflexi贸n, para la conexi贸n espiritual con el territorio, y es un espacio clave para la transmisi贸n de las tradiciones culturales de la comunidad Kankuama.
El a帽o pasado, un grupo de miembros de la Red OurMedia / NuestrosMedios tuvo la oportunidad de visitar esta comunidad, donde nos recibieron Daniel Maestre y Nixon Arias, entre muchas otras personas de los COLECTIVOS DE COMUNICACI脫N DE KANKUAMA, incluida la radio comunitaria Tayrona St茅reo. En la Kankurua pudimos vivir una experiencia de comunicaci贸n espiritual que nos permiti贸 conocer m谩s sobre su cultura y sus propios procesos de comunicaci贸n.
Seg煤n Nixon Arias, director de Tayrona St茅reo:
"Hoy en d铆a no solo se ha quemado una casa ceremonial o Kankurua, sino que se ha quemado el trabajo, el esfuerzo, el pensamiento y las aspiraciones de muchas personas, pero el fuego como purificador natural tambi茅n quema esos malos pensamientos, esas malas intenciones que habitan Cada uno de nosotros y ese fuego nos dan la oportunidad de renacer con mucha m谩s fuerza, porque el fuego debe quemar todo lo que nos duele ".
En esta ocasi贸n, tanto la Red OurMedia / NuestrosMedios como el LABORATORIO DE COMUNICACI脫N PARA LA INNOVACI脫N LOCAL Y EL CAMBIO SOCIAL de la Universidad del Norte, queremos mostrar su solidaridad con la comunidad de Kankuama y, a trav茅s de esta campa帽a, recaudar una peque帽a contribuci贸n para apoyar el renacimiento de nuestros hermanas y hermanos Kankuamos, para ayudarlos a reconstruir su Kankurua.
Con este fin, hemos pedido permiso a la comunidad kankuama y contamos con la ayuda de algunos de sus representantes con quienes compartimos un compromiso colectivo con la regi贸n, como nuestra amiga Silsa Arias, miembro de la Organizaci贸n Nacional Ind铆gena de Colombia y Daniel Maestre, autoridad local de Atanquez.
En este sentido, pedimos su ayuda con una peque帽a donaci贸n que podr铆a ayudar a la comunidad Kankuama a reconstruir su Kankurua.

About this Vaki (crowd funding)
On the night of October 18th 2018, the ceremonial space of the KANKUAMO COMMUNITY from Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, (known as THE KANKURUA), was burn into ashes by unknown actors.
THE KANKURUA is a ceremonial center, center of thought, space for reflection, for spiritual connection with the territory, and it is a key space for the transmission of cultural traditions of the kankuamo community.
Last year a group of members of the OurMedia / NuestrosMedios Network had the opportunity to visit this community, where we were received by Daniel Maestre and Nixon Arias, among many other people from the KANKUAMO COMMUNICATION COLLECTIVES, including the Tayrona St茅reo community radio. In the Kankurua we were able to live an experience of spiritual communication that allowed us to know more about their culture and their own communication processes.
According to Nixon Arias, director of Tayrona St茅reo:
"Today not only a Kankurua or a ceremonial house has been burned, but the work, the effort, the thought and the aspirations of many people has been burned, but the fire as a natural purifier also burns those bad thoughts, those bad intentions that inhabit each One One of us and that fire gives us the opportunity to be reborn with much more strength, because the fire must burn everything that hurts us ".
On this occasion, both, the OurMedia / NuestrosMedios Network and the COMMUNICATION LAB FOR LOCAL INNOVATION AND SOCIAL CHANGE of Universidad del Norte, would like to show solidarity with the kankuamo community, and through this campaign collect a small contribution to support the rebirth of our brothers and sisters of the Kankuamo people, to support them to rebuilt their kankurua.
To this end we have asked for permission to the kankuamo community and we have the help of some of their representatives with whom we share a collective commitment with the region, such as our friend Silsa Arias, member of the National Indigenous Organization of Colombia and Daniel Maestre, local authority of Atanquez.
In this sense we ask for your help with a little donation that could help the Kankuamo community to rebuild their Kankurua.
