VALE AYUDAR (In english: helping counts), arise as a response for those who don´t want increase indigence, for those who can´t be indifferent to our reality. In VALE AYUDAR we feel the pain of the needy, of who have hunger and cold, but we want to be sure that our alms, a lot or a little, will have a good use and will not end increasing child abuse wih more children asking for money in the streets, or people taking advantage of our feelings and good heart.

Those of us who live in Bogotá know that it is a city of contrasts, sometimes cold, sometimes warm, diverse in population and multicultural City where there are strong social problems such as drug addiction and extreme poverty that leads many people to become homeless; And where thousands of people also arrive for different reasons: for forced displacement, because they migrate from their countries looking for better opportunities or because they want to improve their lifestyle, believing that the city will fulfill their Colombian dream, and not being able to achieve it they find a harsh reality: living in cold and hunger, which leaves them with only one option, begging to support themselves and their families.

VALE AYUDAR is part of the solution and not the problem, we know that giving a coin implies increasing begging and that we want to do something to HELP, because we are sensitive to this harsh reality that many must live, but we do not know HOW to do it.VALE AYUDAR contributes so that people with limited resources get food and shelter temporarily, through a system of vouchers. The vouchers can be exchanged in the collection center of the parish of Our Lady of Egypt for clothes or food, with this we are also supporting the social and evangelization work promoted by the Church and the parishes.So why “helping counts”? Because it is an option where you can serve others, giving what they need, knowing that the economic resource that is donated will be used for the main purpose and will not be diverted to get drugs or pay for other elements that will only increase other problems in the person and in the city.More information on https://valeayudar.org
