The Casa Tres Patios Foundation has been working for social justice in Medellín and its surroundings for 16 years. We are a center of contemporary thought that promotes social justice through research, pedagogy and social artistic practices. We work with vulnerable communities, and have impacted more than 15,000 people with our programs. 

By working with poor children and with inmates in the local prisons, we have realized that digital inequality is not only a consequence of poverty, but also becomes a cause of it. Therefore, the Foundation Casa Tres Patios is looking for you to join our campaign and build the Center for Digital Experimentation, because we know that technology alone can not save the world, but the people who learn to use it can transform their lives and those of their communities. 

We do not currently have the necessary technological equipment to meet the needs of the people who come to our Foundation in search of opportunities. We need $6,000 to fulfill the dream of adapting a space located in our headquarters, with different technological tools to benefit the children in our educational programs and recently released inmates who are seeking to change their lives with new skills.. With your help, we can construct this media lab that will allow us to accompany them in learning digital skills so that they can begin to sustain themselves and their families and avoid returning to criminal activities.. 

The Center for Digital Experimentation will emphasize the development of curiosity, creativity, critical thinking and technical training, and for that we will need technology. With your donation we will be able to offer a program that will allow us to complement the learning provided by the formal education system and provide the knowledge that is necessary in the 21st century to acquire a decent job and thus eliminate poverty.
